Terms & Privacy - The Fine Print, Set Large

- Plain English. No tricks. Last updated April 19, 2026.

Most platforms bury their terms in six-point type. We set ours in the same font as our headlines because reading them shouldn't require a magnifying glass or a law degree. What follows is what you agree to when you use IDatingWebsites, what we do with the small amount of data we collect, and how to make us stop having it.

What's On This Page

Section I

Terms Of Use

By creating an account or browsing IDatingWebsites ("the Service," "we," "us"), you ("the Member") agree to the following. If you don't agree, please close the tab - no account will be created and nothing will be stored.

  1. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering contracts in your jurisdiction. Accounts belonging to minors are removed on discovery without notice.
  2. Account honesty. Provide a real email address and an accurate self-description. Impersonation, catfishing, and profiles created to harvest images or contact details are grounds for permanent removal.
  3. Community conduct. Body shaming, harassment, size-based ridicule, hate speech, threats, and unsolicited explicit content are zero-tolerance violations. One strike and the account is gone.
  4. Content you post. You retain ownership of your profile text and photos. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display that content inside the Service for the purpose of running the platform. We do not license your content to third parties.
  5. Off-platform screenshots. Capturing and redistributing another Member's profile, photos, or messages outside the Service is a bannable offense and may be pursued as a privacy violation under applicable law.
  6. Paid features. The core experience is free. Optional premium features are billed monthly with clear pricing and cancellable inside your account settings at any time.
  7. Service availability. We work to keep the Service online but we don't promise uninterrupted uptime. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance when possible.
  8. Termination. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any moment via the one-click delete flow described below.
  9. Limitation of liability. The Service is provided "as is." We are not responsible for the conduct of Members offline, for any in-person meetings arranged through the platform, or for third-party content linked from our pages.
  10. Changes to these Terms. We post material updates on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Section II

Privacy Policy

Privacy is not a feature we added. It's the premise we started from. Here is the short list of what we collect, why we collect it, and what we refuse to do with it.

  1. What we collect. A verified email address, a password hash, the profile content you voluntarily post, messages you exchange inside the Service, and basic technical logs (IP, browser, timestamps) kept for security for a rolling 30 days.
  2. What we do not collect. Phone numbers, legal names, home addresses, social-media logins, contact lists, biometric data, or precise GPS location. We never ask. You never need to provide them.
  3. Why we collect what we collect. To run the Service, deliver messages between Members, prevent abuse, and comply with law enforcement requests that meet a valid legal standard.
  4. What we never do. We never sell, rent, or trade Member data. We never share profiles with advertising networks. We never let search engines index your profile.
  5. Legal basis. For EU/UK visitors: we process data on the basis of contract (to deliver the Service you asked for), legitimate interest (fraud prevention), and consent where required (analytics, non-essential cookies).
  6. Retention. Profile content is kept while your account exists. When you delete, content is permanently removed within 30 days. Billing records are retained for the period required by tax law, then purged.
  7. Third-party processors. A short list of vendors helps us run the platform - hosting, payment processing for premium billing, transactional email. Each is contractually bound to confidentiality and minimum data collection.

For the practical side of privacy - screenshot policy, moderation, reporting tools - read our Safety & Privacy page.

Section III

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. You can disable non-essential ones in your browser without breaking the Service.

  • Session cookies - essential. Keep you logged in during your visit. Deleted when you close the browser.
  • Preference cookies - non-essential. Remember your theme (light or dark) and recent filters. Removable without consequence.
  • Security cookies - essential. Detect suspicious login patterns and protect against account takeover.
  • No ad-tech, no tracking pixels, no cross-site trackers. We do not embed Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or similar instruments anywhere on the site.

Section IV

Your Data Rights

The rights below apply to every Member, regardless of jurisdiction. If local law grants you more, that local law wins.

Right To Access

Request a plain-text copy of every data point we hold about your account. Delivered by email within 30 days.

Right To Correct

Edit your profile at any time from your account settings. For data you cannot edit yourself, email us and we will fix it.

Right To Delete

One click inside your account ends everything. No recovery window, no winback campaign, no trace left behind.

Right To Export

Download a structured JSON archive of your profile, messages, and preferences. Portable and yours to keep.

Section V

Account Deletion

We designed the exit with the same care as the entrance. Here is the full sequence:

  1. Open your settings. From any page while logged in, click your avatar in the top right and choose "Account."
  2. Click "Delete Account." It's the last item on the page, in the same font size as everything else. No dark pattern, no hidden submenu.
  3. Confirm once. A single confirmation screen explains what will be removed. Click "Delete" and it's done.
  4. Immediate effect. Your profile disappears from the Service within seconds. Messages you sent are marked as "deleted by sender" in recipients' inboxes.
  5. 30-day purge. All personally identifiable data is removed from our production systems and backups within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate statistics (for example, "sign-ups per month") may persist.
Editor's note -

If you cannot log in and want your account deleted, email [email protected] from the address on file. We verify ownership and complete the deletion manually within five business days.

Section VI

How To Reach Support

We don't run a contact form. Forms encourage the kind of throwaway message that never gets a useful reply. Instead, we read every email that lands in the inboxes below and respond in plain English, usually within one business day.
