Many western men have their own reasons why they prefer Chinese dating as opposed to dating western women. In the same way there are many Chinese women who have their own reasons for preferring to date western men.

• Better choices – Sometimes it is difficult to find the person of your choice from a place nearby. As the Internet makes the world a smaller place, it increases the possibility of international dating. As the dating market gets bigger, Chinese women have a bigger choice to select from and it increases their chances of finding someone who is right for them. Chinese women who are divorced or widowed find it very difficult to find a man from their own country who will accept them and marry them. International dating holds out a promise of finding someone who will love them no matter what and they are willing to give up everything in search of love.
• Better quality of life – Chinese women traditionally marry in order to have a better quality of life. Though the urban, single Chinese woman may earn a decent income, those who live in the remote areas live a very basic life. They feel the western world would give them the opportunities and comforts that they could not possibly hope to find in their own home towns.
• Preference for western culture – With so much of media exposure, Chinese women are getting more familiar with the western way of life. They’ve traveled to the west and like what they see. They like the western attitude towards women and the fact that ladies are treated with more respect than is shown in their own country. They see that even women with children are equally respected and accepted in western society.
• Physical attraction – Another important factor in Chinese dating is that many Chinese women find the more masculine physical features of western men more attractive than the physical features of Chinese men.
