A Time-CNN poll showed Americans are equally divided about President Clintons’ admission of adultery, with 50% believing that his moral standards are the same as any average married man. 61% of all Americans interviewed were against the idea of making adultery a crime in the United States, 35% were for it and a small 4% were undecided and offered no opinion. Of all the marriages in the United States, 17% broke down and headed for a divorce because of the infidelity of one or the other partner.
